We reward our loyal clients with a punch card program: after 10 hems, your eleventh one is on us. Our way of saying thanks for trusting us with your favorite items in your everyday wardrobe.
We Require Fittings (For Good Reason, We Promise)
No eyeballing measurements or rushing through appointments at Saylor Sewing. Because we care about your experience and that you get the best possible results, we require try-on fittings for accurate alterations. This ensures your clothes fit perfectly the first time.
The Same Care as Our Bridal Work
We don't have a "tier" system where everyday alterations get less attention. That means your favorite work jeans get the same meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail as a $3,000 wedding gown. Just as it should be if you ask us.
Clear Pricing and Realistic Timelines From the Get Go
We provide accurate quotes at your fitting and give you honest turnaround times upfront. For example, most projects take one week and zipper replacements need two weeks minimum. No surprises, no guessing games, no changing timelines.

Suits & Tailoring
Let us handle everything from jacket sleeves and body adjustments to pant hems and vest tailoring, so your suit will feel and fit like it was custom-made just for you. Whether you need a few minor alterations or a total suit overhaul, our expert seamstresses can handle it all. Prices start at $14 for vests and $20 for jacket body alterations.
Jeans & Casual Pants
Whether you’re looking for a new hem style or the original classic, we specialize in hemming jeans for every preference and style. We can also do waist adjustments to ensure you get the perfect fit from top to bottom. We’ll tailor any kind of pants to your exact specifications, including work jeans, leggings, or casual pants. Bonus: every 10th hem is FREE with our punch card!
Dresses & Tops
We do it all: casual sundresses, maxi dresses, blouses, button-ups, and more. Get the perfect fit with bodice adjustments, strap modifications, and custom hems. Repairs
Broken zipper? Torn seam? Holes in your favorite jeans? There’s nothing we haven’t seen and fixed. We've got you covered with expert garment repair services for any wardrobe emergency. We handle zipper repairs and replacements, button and snap fixes, jean hole patches (under 6"), and damaged seam repairs. Please note that most zipper replacements require a minimum of 2 weeks to give us time to order the correct zipper.
Body Measurements
If you’re ordering online, getting accurate professional measurements done is key to a great fit. Measurements are needed when ordering custom-sized clothing online from brands like Azazie, Birdie Grey, and Kennedy Blue. We offer three measurement packages: Basic ($8), Detailed ($16), and Fitness Progress tracking ($24). Our expert seamstress will help you determine the most accurate size based on your measurements, body type, and garment style.
