First things first: your hanger loop is NOT a bustle! 😅 We know there's a ton of bustle confusion out there, but don’t worry—we're here to clear things up. In fact, bustles are probably the most important and least expensive alteration you'll invest in for your dress. Let’s get into it!

So, what exactly is a bustle? Simply put, it's a series of hooks, loops, ribbons, buttons, or snaps strategically placed to pull up the train of your dress, preventing it from dragging on the ground all night long. Not only does a bustle save your dress from wear and tear, but it also ensures you can dance the night away without tripping over your own train.

But do you really need a bustle? 🤔 Well, the short answer is no but do you really want to spend your entire wedding day dragging around a ton of heavy fabric or trying to carry it while dancing? It ultimately comes down to your personal style and preferences. However, if you do have a train, we highly recommend considering bustling it to make your life easier on the big day. Here's a breakdown of your options:

Option 1: Just Bustle

Cost: 💸💸💸

Pros: You'll have a beautifully stylized, carefree way of holding up your train. Bustle fixtures are mostly discreet.

Cons: Depending on the size of your train, bustling can be an investment, ranging from $50 to $190, with an average cost of around $130.

Option 2: Get Rid of It

Unpopular opinion, and I might be biased. I did not have a train on my wedding gown.

Cost: 💸💸

Pros: Say goodbye to the hassle of a train and enjoy a carefree day without worrying about bustling.

Cons: You'll miss out on those stunning long train photos. 📸 Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. There's no turning back😢

Pro Tip: Invest in a bustle and wrist loop for versatility. Perfect for brides having photos taken between ceremony & reception.

Option 3: Add a Wrist Loop

Cost: 💸

Pros: More cost-effective than bustling, usually costing around $50 to make and attach. Looks better than awkwardly holding onto your hanger loop.

Cons: You'll have to carry your train around all night, and if your dress is made of heavy fabric, this option is not for you (hello, arm workout 💪). We definitely do not recommend this for large ballgowns or heavy lace.

Option 4: Just Use Your Hanger Loop (But Proceed with Caution) 🚫

Cost:

Pros: Well, it’s free.

Cons: It's a painful way to hold your train, and it can pull the inside layers of your dress out, exposing any dirt collected in your train.😬Let’s just say it’s the option for people who love living dangerously. 😉

Ultimately, how you decide to style your train is entirely up to you. Just remember, the train is down for the ceremony and photos, but after that, you'll need to choose the option that works best for you for the rest of the night.

Whether you opt for a bustling extravaganza or decide to go train-free, rest assured that we're here to help you make the best choice for your big day. So, let's bustle up and get ready to dance the night away in style!
